The ISM Code requires establishment of safeguards to ensure mitigation of risks in safety and pollution in shipboard operations. The Code places responsibility for this squarely on the companies charged with the ship’s management. We offer ISM training with various options to meet the industry requirements.
Our ISM Auditor Training Course Online is a two-day, 16 hour course that provides the skills to manage first, second and third party The International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM Code) Audits. You will learn the requirements ISM Code, which the International Maritime Organization (IMO) mandates the application of to all SOLAS vessels and is mandatory to all vessels of 500 gross tonnages and upward including mobile offshore drilling units.
This course meets the requirements of 46 CFR 139.130(b)(4).

In our ISM auditor training course, you will learn the skills to conduct internal audits to assess conformity to ISM Code 2018. Participants will learn:
Interpret and apply ISM
Relate ISM Code to your business management system, regardless of your type of business
Identify the controls necessary for ensuring the SMS translates customer needs into satisfied customers
Use the SMS to work proactively and not reactively
Relate fiduciary concerns to the performance of the SMS
Develop a reliable and pliable system, particularly effective for organizations where process objectives are constantly changing
Communicate the roles and responsibilities within the SMS to the organization
Conduct and lead 1st and 2nd and 3rd party audits
Relate the capabilities of the organization to the expectations of customers, top management and shareholders
Explain to customers how the organization plans to fulfill its promises and show evidence that it has done so in the past
